"Jarred is an enthusiastic young man who is always engaged and present. He is a consistent and lively contributor to class discussions.

He is an invaluable member of the class."

-CJ Johnson

Lecturer in Cinema, Golden Globes Voter, President of Film Critics Circle of Australia.

"Jarred has a creativity and a spark that is rare- he brings a kind of wise wit to his work as an actor; a joy and a sense of fun to his roles, but marries this with their pain, their sadness, to create memorable stage performances that resonate with audiences.

A young actor with much potential, charisma and talent."

-Garth Holcombe

Actor, Director, Educator.

"I first met Jarred when he was a student at Sydney Actor’s School, an audition-based Advanced Diploma with a focus on acting, screen acting, and filmmaking craft, where he conducted the first year of training.

I immediately noted his understanding of camera acting, including pitching his performance for the camera and an embodied understanding of honest listening, reacting, and communicating.

Throughout his training, he demonstrated a passion and interest in the film and television industry and storytelling on screen. He is aware of what constitutes strong performance, which is beneficial in self-taping, allowing him to assess his own work and note when his work is strong, or where he may be able to improve.

Jarred has demonstrated an ability to emotionally connect to his characters and allow the camera to see his internal life. He has demonstrated an ability to be present on camera; genuinely seeing the other person and consequentially allowing himself to be seen.

Jarred is invested in his career strategy, actively making industry connections, self-producing, and growing his profile. I have no doubt he will implement any strategy for advancement should he work with you."

"I taught Jarred Mauch at the Sydney Actors School during 2022 as his ‘Technology craft’ tutor. As part of his time at the school Jarred learned about the craft of filmmaking, cinematography, basic rules of composition, basic lighting techniques, sound recording, acting for camera and basic editing components. He took part in group exercises and was an asset to his cohort during his time at the school.

Jarred was a great student overall and demonstrated a passion and interest in areas of filmmaking and tech. He was a good team player and was always collaborative, he demonstrated some great on screen acting.

Jarred has a good atmosphere and demeanour, with a positive fun attitude on set. I found that he was also receptive to feedback and actively listened when instructed on something which was definitely a plus.

With out of the box ideas, Jarred is arming himself with a great toolset of skills and is on a great path if he continues.

I hope Jarred proves to be an asset to your organisation!"

-Joshua Belinfante

"During the year I taught Jarred movement he improved steadily, partly due to being a good communicator and also recognising his own shortcomings.

He was a positive and enthusiastic student, voicing thoughtful and relevant observations, as well as understanding the importance of politeness and respect.

That said, being imaginative, he would also come up with some interesting quirky ideas and suggestions."

"Jarred is a playful, energetic, inventive, and inquisitive actor. As an improviser he invents dialogue and shapes a narrative arc.

He has natural timing and wit that lands unexpected punchlines and scene endings. He has the ability to explore and uncover a range of expressive choices."
